Prelude

In a nameless village, you hear stories that a terrifying Basilisk is harassing the land. The creature is burning crops and slaying livestock. If nothing is done soon, the village won't have enough supplies stockpiled to survive the winter.

The villagers have tried rallying to chase the beast from their lands themselves. But at the sight of humans, the Basilisk scurries back to its den to wait them out. The villagers aren't brave enough to face the creature on its own terms and have put out the word they need help.

You look like you can handle yourselves. It’ll take more than one of us to kill a Basilisk in its den. But if we work together, we should have no problem.
